Btw, I’ve only had today off since I had to go into the office yesterday to fix one of the PCs. Took longer thani expected and at the end the audio drivers weren’t working. Oh well, I guess that just means more troubleshooting tomorrow. Yay! Can’t wait (sarcasm).

Anyway, that’s my update for now. I’ll keep on testing this app out.

So been suuuuuuuuper busy at work. KILL ME!!!!!! No, not really, but it is THAT bad. Well, the cool thing this week was the fact that 30 Seconds To Mars released their much anticipated album THIS IS WAR. IF you haven’t seen it yet, the cover uses about 2,00 faces, randomized on it. I was able to find mine (my girlfriend found it), my girlfriend’s was found in Spain, and my friend Erin’s in Finland.  Hit the jump to see the covers.

So I’m getting the chance to shoot some portraits of  THE GAY BLADES tonight. (For examples, click READ MORE) They’re performing tonight @ The Key Club in WeHo @ 8PM. One of the last bands to play at the venue. I got the news yesterday and apparently the club will be closing down at the end of the month due to declining ticket sales. It got so bad that they’ve been selling less than 50% and decided not to renew their lease. So sad to see the end of “The Roxbury”. Let’s just hope someone opens up a gnarlier venue at the same spot.

So this month has started on a meh note. Tons of stuff going on, sooooome are good. The rest, well, not so great.  My mom’s going in for chemo next week. My dad get his lab results today, so I’m bracing myself for that too. Tons of mixed emotions are just flying around. But I did buy something yesterday that helped take my mind off of things for a bit.

“]I bought the Canon EF 50mm f/1.8 II lens. FINALLY. Well, I didn’t buy it personally, I asked my girlfriend to go down the street from her house to CALUMET and buy it for me. Nooooooo I’m not mooching, I paid her back. Wells Fargo Online Transfer to be exact. hahaha. Can’t wait to use it for a full day. I’ve been wanting to get this 50mm lens for a while now. Ever since I started using my NIKON EM and loving the images it produces. Now I can have that same feel on the digital. Hmmmm maybe I’ll take it to the two upcoming “secret” 30 Seconds To Mars events in my area this weekend. Mwahahaha, hey, I said maybe. We’ll see how it all goes. Work’s been hectic, but not as hectic as the first week of October. ugh, that was horrible, but it ended with a weekend trip to Vegas so it was all good. Now I’m just looking ahead and thinking what else I can do. Weekened plans or something else. We’ll see. hmmm well, back to work it is.

So just last week as I was walking to my girlfriend’s house. I bumped into someone I hadn’t heard of in a while. My old boss you could say (technically because of my internship @ WBR). So we chatted it up for a quick second and I took these two shots. Hahaha he refused to let me take a picture of him smoking. Who knows why, but I still seemed to capture the true essence of Gerard Way. Trying to work out something to shoot the rest of the guys in their natural habitat. haha

This past weekend was seriously one of the best weekends I’ve had in a long time. It was a getaway of sorts. Me and my girlfriend went away (not too far) to a hotel on a strip. Where , well, let’s just say our stay was reminiscent of the hotel’s old RIOT HOUSE days. Directly 5 stories up from us was the infamous Keith Richards room. Now if we only knew which one Robert Plant stayed at, Jim Morrison, Janis Joplin, Jimi Hendrix, Axl Rose (ugh), and tons of others stayed at, it would’ve been cool to scope them out. LoL. So after a great Saturday night flying through the stars, realizing what creative juices I had been missing, staring into a lonely strip, listening to some Pink Floyd, Sunday was more of a chill and come back down day. We ended up just laying down in her room and watching TV. Which btw, was a trip all in its own. We were watching the beginning of THE BIG HIT and we changed the channel to watch MAKING HIS BAND, no joke, 5minutes later we switched back but it was nowhere to be found. THE BIG HIT had turned into the disappearing movie. I KNOW we didn’t imagine it. Weird. So we later decided to go ahead and go catch GI JOE at the Arclight. Got there kind of early so we decided to get a bite at the cafe. The turkey sandwich was somewhat filling but damn that avocado and herb mayo definitely MADE the sandwich. Oh man! ::drools:: So the movie turned out not too be as bad as everyone says it is. Come on, how can you really go into a movie based off the GI JOE Sigma 6 series and expect a deep story-driven movie. Can’t WON’T happen. It’s cheesy and full of action, that’s all I ask for. Definitely buying it for the cheesy factor. LoL. Afterward, we just walked back and hung out with our good friend. That is all. I left and got home. Knocked out. Came to work. Here I sit. Wondering. What else will come my way?

So….. Yesterday. Yea. Ummmm it went by pretty fast. Forgot to post on here. Shit. Oh well, two chucks today.  Got home after work fairly early after trying a new route. Dropped my stuff. Laid back on my bed and seriously passed out. I mean, OUT COLD!!! Didn’t wake up for another two hours. When I woke up, I just quietly moved to the kitchen, reheated some food. Listened to DARK SIDE OF THE MOON and just chilled. The bad thing was later, when I was unable to sleep until 2:30am. Yep. You read that right. Ever since I was a kid I wouldn’t be able to sleep right if I slept during the day. So here I was getting ready for today because I knew I was NOT gonna have enough sleep…….

Surprise surprise for today. GAMESTOP decides to put Street Fighter IV and F.E.A.R. 2 on sale for $20. BRAND NEW. Sweeet right? Wrong. I left work and bussed it down about 20 or so blocks to the nearest location listed on Google Maps. Once I got there, guess what. The structure won’t even be fully built til early 2010. Arrrrgggghhh!!! While my friend Luis is driving all around Hollywood to no avail. At least he got a copy for himself. I had to jsst compromise and bought it only. Now I have to wait and on top of taht paid $2.99 shipping. Hahaha. Hey at least, my girlfriend is awesome and put F.E.A.R. 2 on hold for me. She’s going there to pick it up as we speak. What a sweetheart!!! That’s why I love her so much. hahahahaha Next game purchase, maybe STAR WARS: Unleashed now that trophies will be available soon. But definitely the collector’s edition of BATMAN: Arkham Asylum.

P.S. I’m so jealous of my friends Nico and Tom right now. They’re in fucken HELSINKI while on tour with Lady Gaga!!! ahhhhh oh, well. someday. I’ll get there one day.
